What a month! It isn't even half over yet but it feels like it's lasted a year. June started out with my final exams, an intense end to what was my best quarter yet at the UW. I somehow managed to get an "A" average this quarter, while also working just shy of full-time with Delicious Monster. I'm looking forward to deciding on a major so that I can continue to take even more focused classes (I know, you'd think I of all people would have known this by now - at first I thought Computer Science, but it's too math-heavy for my liking... and it's also incredibly rigorously focused on computer graphics and animation later on, not exactly my thing). School is going well and it was a fun first year of college for me. Finals week was a bit crazy though.

Less than 24 hours after I finished my last final, I started moving. I'll admit - I wasn't as prepared for it as I could have been; it was somewhat of a disaster thrown-together move. I somehow managed to get everything into boxes and bags and fill my car to make it home Friday night/Saturday early morning. My stuff is still all over the floor here at my mom's house. It's pretty ridiculous.

Saturday night I headed off to the airport for WWDC. Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference is held once a year in San Francisco and brings attendees from all across the planet together for one week to focus on Mac software development. It's pretty much my dream conference. This year they really cut back on the food that I would have liked to see (last year it was incredibly plentiful), but it's pretty good when that's the only complaint I can make. :) I picked up tons of more tips and tricks and I really had a blast. I'm glad I had the opportunity to go back again this year. It was really just tons of fun. While we were there we also picked up two Apple Design Awards for Delicious Library -- Best Mac OS X User Experience and runner-up Best Product New to Mac OS X. Really awesome.

I just got back from WWDC this weekend and the days have already been flying by as I'm trying to rapidly recover from stress and sleep. It's been nice to finally slow down my pace for a few days and rest. But I'm not done with the month's craziness just yet.

In just an hour I'm scheduled to show up for my first day of work at the Apple Store Bellevue Square. They called me up last month and asked if I wanted to help as a part-time Mac Specialist for the summer. I was a little surprised at first, but when I thought about it more I realized that with school's absence leaving a gap of time for me this summer, I could probably still pull it off while continuing at Delicious Monster as well. It will be a nice change of pace in an industry I still love. I'm really excited to learn a ton about retail and promote Apple's stuff - while still being able to keep my primary work with Delicious.

But there is "one more thing" (despite its absence in Steve's keynote). I'm also moving to an apartment in Seattle this weekend with three of my friends (Michael, Kristin, and Coma). Wish me luck on that. Once I'm finally all settled, it'll be great.

Here's to hoping the second half of June isn't as crazy as the first! :)
